Since 1981, June in Walnut Creek has been a special time for wine connoisseurs, micro-brew buffs, art enthusiasts, and general merry-goers. The annual Art and Wine Festival in Walnut Creek has grown from humble beginnings to one of the East Bay’s greatest outdoor festivals. Attracting over 100,000 visitors yearly, the two-day celebration in beautiful Heather Farm Park is continuously growing. The venue is always packed full of great food and drinks, live music, and delightful art from local artists. Revelers can sample local restaurants’ delicacies and wash it all down with regional wine or the micro-brew of their choice. Admission is free, and the event lasts from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. With sunshine and plenty of grassy fields, the whole family is sure to have a great time.
